I was looking for an excel that could download data for all the nse stocks in one go. I wrote macro, searched the internet, tried a lot of things. But, they required a lot of work.
I was browsing though the internet and came across an interesting site. I did some R&D on it and was able to download data for all NSE stocks in one time.
Here goes the process :

Here goes the process :
- Download the spreadsheet from the site http://www.stockhistoricaldata.com/nse
- Get the daily nse EOD sheet. Add .NS to each symbol name. Use formala =SYMBOLNAME&.NS.

- Open the historical data downloader excel (historicaldatadownloader.xls).
- Go to the Symbols tab.Paste the nse symbol list in the Symbol column starting row 2.
- Go to Main Menu.
- Enter Start Day, Start Month and Start Year. Enter End Day, End Month and End Year.
- Enter Frequency and Sort fields.
- Enter the location on the computer where you wnat to save data. The path should exist on the computer.
- Click Download(raw).
- Kudos. Download starts.
- The status of the downloads in "Symbols" tab in Status columns.
